1 nickel = 5 pennies.

3 nickels = 15 pennies.

2 nickels = 10 cents.

6 pennies = 6 cents.

10+6=16 cents

1 dime = 10 pennies

1 dime = 2 nickels

One day Hannah went to the store and she bought some candy. It cost 13 cents. She gave them 2 nickels and 3 pennies. That equals 13 cents.

One of the first lessons we went through after quarantine involved currency. We spent some time looking at coins and figuring out how much each one is worth. The next day I asked her to turn her notes into a story.
